Most people experience tooth discoloration to one degree or another over time. Varying factors can contribute to tooth discoloration, including:

- Trauma

- Smoking and tobacco use
- Certain medications and illnesses
In-office Teeth Whitening Treatment
If you choose in-office teeth whitening treatments, trained professionals will whiten your teeth with a special whitening gel and the use of an activator light.
First, we will clean your teeth and gums thoroughly. Since the whitening gel can irritate the gums, a protective barrier will be placed to protect the soft tissues of your mouth. Next, the dentist will apply whitening gel to the exposed surfaces of your teeth. The dentist will ensure that the gel is applied evenly to achieve natural-looking results. Typically the gel remains on your teeth for 15 minutes. Afterward, it is removed, and after five to ten minutes, it is reapplied. Three or four applications are usually sufficient for achieving your goals. For most patients, one in-office whitening visit is adequate to obtain satisfactory whitening results, but patients with stubborn stains may need an additional treatment. You may want to have periodic whitening sessions to maintain your dazzling new smile.
We offer both in-office and take-home whitening at Bio Dental. The key to a long lasting, bright, white smile is to have them whitened by a dentist before discoloration becomes too severe. Whether you choose an in-office or take-home procedure, you can be sure to receive solid advice, professional care.
Teeth Whitening is a non-invasive treatment that can be taken care of in just one visit to the dentist’s office. At your visit, we will perform a gentle polish and reshaping of any teeth with chipped or uneven edges. Next, we will create dental impressions of your teeth, which will then be used to create trays that are customized for your tooth whitening procedure. Unlike generic over-the-counter products, these individualized trays create better, longer lasting results.
