Smile makeover is a single procedure, or combination of several, may be used to correct whatever you dislike about your smile.

Full mouth reconstruction is usually accomplished in a several ways, utilizing porcelain crowns, dental implants, and porcelain veneers, reestablishing the youthful look and feel of natural teeth.

Composite fillings or Dental Bonding for Broken, Chipped or Decayed Teeth
Dental filling refers to any composite material (resin or plastic, with filler for enhancing the stability and strength) that is bonded to your tooth. It is ideal for treating cracked or chipped teeth, covering a discolored tooth surface, or reducing gaps between your teeth.  A tooth colored resin material (fluoride and BPA free) is used to fill in missing pieces from the tooth, to restore the shape and appearance of your smile. At Bio Dental, we want to help you maintain your teeth and feel confident with your smile.

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin tooth shaped shells of porcelain that are used for recreating the natural appearance of your teeth. They also strengthen teeth and add resilience, very similar to natural enamel. This is usually the premier choice for changing size, color, and/or shape, as well as making slight alterations in position.

Few people are blessed with naturally perfect teeth. Of all the methods available today for changing and improving the look of your smile, Porcelain Veneers are among the most popular and successful with our patients.  Porcelain Veneers are literally a “tooth shaped shell covering” and can be “contact-lens-thin” that are placed over your natural teeth to enhance or correct their appearance.  Beautiful custom-made Porcelain Veneers are the platinum standard that world-class dentist uses.  Veneers are one of the most exciting procedures we provide. We work with close relationship with one of the best cosmetic laboratories in the country in order to achieve extra-ordinary results, with custom shade match for each patient.

The best way to determine whether you are a candidate for Porcelain Veneers is to come in for a consultation.

Dental crowns

Dental crowns: Teeth that are weak, damaged, or not viable candidates for veneers can be restored and protected with crowns. Porcelain Crowns are used to restore both front and back teeth that may have extensive damage caused by decay, have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to old, over-sized fillings or fractures. There are two types of materials used to construct these, full porcelain or zirconia. Both materials are metal free and are biocompatible. By working with the finest laboratories in the country, we are pleased to produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth.

Dental bridges

Dental bridges: When one or more missing teeth in a row can be replaced with a bridge attached to existing teeth and restore a look of natural dentition.

If you have a missing tooth or need to have a tooth pulled, at Bio Dental we can replace that tooth with a dental bridge. A dental bridge is used when a tooth can’t be salvaged with a filling or crown, but it is still necessary to close the gap to restore function or esthetics. Much like it sounds, a bridge is a tooth that is firmly attached to the adjutant two teeth. The bridging tooth is made to match your other teeth, giving you a complete row of teeth and confident smile.

Implants

Implants: This permanent solution to missing teeth provides full functionality and cosmetic restoration while protecting the jawbone.

When a tooth is no longer salvageable or is missing altogether, you can be faced with several options for replacement. For example, a dental bridge may work if the teeth on either side are in perfect health. They are typically smoothed and capped creating the bridge. However, what if you are missing a tooth on either side or if the tooth isn’t healthy enough to be used as a support? We can use dental implants as a solution. A new tooth will be fixed in place with a steel root. The gum tissue and jaw will accept this new root as if it were your natural tooth. Additionally, it doesn’t require the support of the surrounding teeth, allowing them to remain in their original state. Dental implants are a great solution for tooth replacement as they act, look, and feel like your natural teeth!

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening Teeth whitening is the most conservative and most requested procedure done around the world. We offer several options for brightening your teeth. A whiter smile can give you a more youthful, healthy, happy appearance. This is one of the most popular and most economical ways of enhancing your smile.

Frenectomy and gingivectomy for esthetic purpose

Sometimes the oral gum tissue can be very thick, or cover too much of the teeth, resulting in “short” teeth or a “gummy” smile. This can be caused by medications, inflammation due to gum disease, or when bone extends too close to the surface of a tooth. A gingivectomy is a soft tissue treatment we use to remove bulging, granulated or excess gum tissue from around teeth. To perform a gingivectomy, we use our soft tissue laser to gently reduce and reshape affected gum tissues, resculpting the gum line for improved oral health and appearance. In cases of gum disease, a gingivectomy may be used to reduce periodontal pocket depths and make cleaning below the gum line easier for the patient. Recovery time from a laser gingivectomy is minimal and the results are immediate.

Frenectomy

A frenum is a naturally-occurring soft tissue that attaches the lips and gums. It is most prominent between upper and lower front teeth. We provide laser frenectomy procedures for patients who have lip-tie or tongue-tie that may be interfering with speech, biting and chewing function, or the ability to wear a denture comfortably, or simply for a cosmetic reason to close the gap between the front teeth. If a frenum attachment is too short it can cause tooth recession resulting in the need for a gum grafting procedure. However, if the frenum is not corrected, this recession will occur again. A frenum attachment can also be so large and strong that it can prevent teeth from coming together resulting in a gap between the front teeth. This can be an aesthetic concern and can also be an issue during orthodontic treatment.

A frenectomy is a quick, simple procedure that releases a short or tight frenum, or   the muscle attachment connecting the tongue to the floor of the mouth and lips to the gum tissues. Frenectomies effectively increase range of oral movement, general comfort and cosmetic appearance. By using our dental laser, we can perform a frenectomy comfortably and often without the need for anesthetic.

Invisaling

Have you ever wished for a straighter, healthier smile, but not looked forward to all the metal wires and bands that often go along with braces? At Bio Dental we can make your dream of having a new smile come to life. Dr. Baranovitch is a certified Invisalign orthodontist, giving patients a “clearly” effective and incredibly comfortable way to wear braces!

Invisalign is one of the latest teeth straightening technologies that is a metal free and

Most of our holistic patients are choosing to get them. Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners that are removable, more comfortable and easier to clean. The aligners are made of clear plastic material that is customized to the patient to perfectly fit around the teeth and induce alignment correction.

Invisalign aligners are invisible aligners made from a thermoplastic material that look similar to whitening trays fitting very streamline to your teeth. They are removed to eat, drinking (except for clear liquids), brush and floss. Aligners are to be worn 18-22 hours daily to optimize alignment in each stage of treatment.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign aligners will be changed every 1-2 weeks depending on doctor’s discretion of how treatment is progressing. The good thing about this is it’s made with clear lightweight material that allows patients to smile as if they are not wearing any aligners. So, you can still smile fully and to your heart’s content!

Longevity of the treatment will depend on the severity of the misalignment but is estimated to run for about 6-18 months making it a faster solution than metal or ceramic braces.
